The Buying Process
Step 1: Get Prequalifed:
Timeframe approx 24 to 48 hours
When you first make the decision to become a homeowner, you will need to see how much home you can afford. You will also want to make sure that you meet the guidelines to obtain a mortgage. In this process, we will be able to discuss what mortgage option would be the best fit for you. Also, your real estate agent will be pleased that you have done your "homework" and are ready to go with finding your house.
Step 2: Shop:
Timeframe approx 0 days to ? days
Once you have been prequalified, you will need to select a home to purchase. You may already have a home in mind or it could take you awhile to find it. It is important that you maintain your prequalficiation status during this process as well.
Step 3: Processing/Underwriting:
Timeframe approx 30 days
After you have selected a home, we will gather all necessary documentation and submit the file for underwriting. We will also order appraisal, title and other items needed to complete the transaction during this time. Most programs can be completed within 30 days. However, some programs take a little longer during this period.
Step 4: Closing:
Timeframe approx 1 to 2 hours
This is the day that you have been waiting for. This is the day that you will actual sign all final loan documents and purchase your house.
